Theory
- Control - Key points of hold-downs
a) wherever the head is, there is an opportunity to
move the opponent
b) Hip Control - hips lower than opponent and do not try to control upper body
c) No space between you and the opponent
d) Always make the control uncomfortable
e) Always drive weight into the opponent
f) Stay off your knees
- Minimum effort to Hook
a) Difference between hook and submission
Strength is not necessary for hooks
- Constant movement
- Stay off back
- Opponent takes your weight
